At First Baptist, we work hard to provide a friendly and comfortable place for you to learn about Jesus and how you can intentionally impact your world through your relationship with Him. Members and guests of all ages and backgrounds may be dressed in many different ways - from very casual to “Sunday best" it's ok.
The focus of our worship is God. This can be clearly seen in the selection of scripture, music, and prayer in our services.
Small groups (Sunday school) meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am. Small groups are the place where the life of the church happens, and we hope you that you’ll be a part. These groups are designed for all ages. These experiences obviously vary from age group to age group. We encourage you to check out our adult classes for a more complete look.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
Once per month, we offer a Membership Class for all youth age and above who are interested in becoming a member of First Baptist Church of Silsbee. You will meet the staff, learn about what we believe and what is involved in becoming a member and remaining a member. At the conclusion of the class, you would be able to indicate your desire to become part of the First Baptist Church of Silsbee family. Once you complete a "membership application," you will then be presented to the church at the conclusion of a Sunday morning worship service.
The ways you can join our church family are:
- Trusting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and following Him in believer’s baptism
- Moving your membership from another Baptist church
- Moving your membership from another evangelical church that practices believer’s baptism
- Affirming your commitment to Christ and participating in believer’s baptism by immersion
If you have any questions or if you would like more information on joining our church family, contact us at (409) 385-2819 or email.
